Job Description

Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of electro-mechanical equipment used in the IT industry, such as power supplies, logic/controller boards, tape drives and tape libraries, degaussers and similar electronic equipment and instruments.

Repairs and maintenance of equipment through corrective and preventative maintenance procedures.

Researching and sourcing parts for equipment repair.

Installation of new equipment.

Desired Profile

Education Qualification - Diploma in Electronics & Communication (E&C), Electronics and Instrumentation (E&I) or equivalent vocational training with suitable work experience

Experience - 3 + years in IT Hardware / Enterprise / Solution sales

Skills

High degree of skill and aptitude with mechanical and electrical layout, construction, modification, testing, adjustment, calibration, and preventive maintenance of simple and complex analog and digital electronic circuits.

Thorough knowledge in use normal bench test equipment such as digital multimeter, oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer etc. for testing of discrete electronic components such as diodes, relays, capacitors, transistors and ICs, as well as digital and analog circuits.

Familiarity with microcontrollers and their use in electronic instrumentation and equipment.

Past experience in DC power supply repair will be a huge advantage

Ability to analyze, understand and modify simple and complex schematics and wiring diagrams.

Operation of simple machine tools and common electronics instruments, and high degree of skill in soldering/de-soldering, including surface mount components.
