Job Description Key Skills: Vendor Development Manager, purchase, costing, AM,tendering, negotiations, contracts, procurement
10-16 years in Infrastructure Projects, preferably in Industrial infrastructure development, in Purchase of goods and services in Mechanical & Electrical Plant and equipment. Hardcore experience in purchase, tendering, evaluation and negotiation of multi-disciplinary projects. Persons with experience of tendering, estimation and marketing of electro-mechanical works may also be considered suitable for the job.-Experience in negotiation and finalization of Civil packages will be added advantage.-Knowledge in Taxes and Duties and Import Procedures-Additional Experience preferred : Understanding of contract terms & conditions, drafting and negotiation of Contract Agreements.-Additional Skills preferred : Quality Inspection and Delivery Expediting.Compile all the relevant information for the procurement items with respect to type of item, cost of item, suitable vendor etc; Create a database to store all procurement item information; Review and update the database periodically; Analyse the cost variance of similar items across projects; Highlight the same to the Project Teams and C&P Manager IN ORDER TO ensure management of procurement information that facilitates cost effective and standard procurement process.ImportsIdentify overseas suppliers/contractors in discussion with Manager- C&P; Negotiate and finalize terms & conditions for import of MEP items of works IN ORDER TO meet the procurement needs of the business on timely and cost effective basis.Contract Change ManagementAssist Project Teams and C&P Manager in negotiations and finalization of NT items; Review change order note and provide inputs on cost effective procurement IN ORDER TO assist in procurement of appropriate engineered item in most cost effective manner.Standardisation of Tender Documents, Contract AgreementsAssist C&P Manager to identify gaps & areas of improvement required in MEP related agreements; Assist C&P Manager in identifying engineering items that can be standardised and bought centrally; Coordinate among various teams to gather information to assess the cost improvement opportunities of items that can be standardised IN ORDER TO enhance the efficiency of the C&P division.Note: Candidates with top ranked collegers & premier institutes only need to apply.Salary:Not Disclosed by Recruiter Industry:Construction, Engineering, Cement, Metals Functional Area:Purchase, Logistics, Supply Chain Role Category:Purchase/Material Management Role:Purchase/Vendor Development Manager Keyskills:purchase, costing, AM,tendering, negotiations, contracts, procurement Desired Candidate Profile Education:(UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization, Electrical, Mechanical) AND (PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization)Qualifications: Graduate Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical).
