Lead Pipeline Engineer
o University or college degree in relevant area.(Background: Pipeline/Mechanical Engineer)
o Minimum 10 years experience relevant design or engineering and installation experience related to the pipeline discipline.
o Involved in 1 - 3 similar projects as Nam Con Son 2 Project.
o The ability to identify problems and deliver solutions through effective communication and technical skills is the pivotal attribute.
o Proven experience and working knowledge of all areas including a leadership role.
o Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
o Good in IT skill: Office, CAD, simulation programs...
o Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment with work in Asia and/or Vietnam an advantage.
o Ready to adopt a flexible work approach, self motivated and able to work without supervision.
*Responsibility: Report directly to Engineering Leader of related package; manage directly Local Discipline Engineers; support other Lead Discipline Engineers.
Ensure whole Onshore/Offshore Pipeline Engineering complies with requirements across the project
FEED Stage
- Assist the CLIENT in technical negotiation with the FEED CONTRACTOR (if any);
- Participate in the review, comments the FEED documents provided by FEED CONTRACTOR at the FEED CONTRACTORs office requested by CLIENT;
- Assist the CLIENT to evaluate the selection of licensor done by FEED CONTRACTOR to meet the requirements of GPP2;
- Review/approve and makes timely comment on the engineering documents submitted by the FEED CONTRACTOR to ensure design objectives are met and to ensure that all engineering works meet required standards and specifications and that all works are performed in accordance with good engineering practice;
- Provide any information, professional calculation for verifying any information/document provided by FEED CONTRACTOR that may be required by the CLIENT;
- Review and comment the CMDR;
- Closely cooperate with the CLIENT to monitor engineering activities in accordance with applicable codes/standards and engineering progress to ensure schedule adherence and non-conformance items and actions to be taken;
- Checking and signing/endorsement on project drawings, documents, specifications, technical data, etc. as required by CLIENT;
- Assist the CLIENT in clarification on bulletins/technical issues raised by the FEED CONTRACTOR;
2. EPCC Stage
- Review/approve and make timely comment on the technical design documents submitted by EPCC CONTRACTOR(S) to ensure the contract design criteria are met and to ensure that all engineering works are performed in accordance with the applicable code/standards and good engineering practice;
- Effectively manage all technical aspects of interfaces between PROJECT and involved parties.
- Approve/advise by written all technical design documents for the CLIENT's formal approval;
- Provide any information, professional calculation for verifying purpose that may be required by the CLIENT during detailed engineering period;
- Review and comment the CMDR;
- Assist the CLIENT to obtain; review and comment on the EPCC CONTRACTOR(S) engineering drawing index and approve the vendor drawings;
- Assist the CLIENT to monitor engineering activities in accordance with applicable codes/standards and engineering progress to ensure schedule adherence and to identify any problem, deviation, non-conformance, delay in progress and actions to be taken;
- Promptly prepare and submit information, analyses, calculations, reports for verifying/clarifying/optimizing purpose as may be required by CLIENT; and
- Checking and approval signing/endorsement on engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, technical data, etc. as required by CLIENT;
- Review and comment on vendors datasheets, specifications and other Vendors design, manufacturing, testing documents as required;
- Review and assess the test reports submitted by the EPCC CONTRACTOR(S) to ensure the quality of the equipment and material;
3. Other Responsibilities/Duties
- Preparing Week/Monthly Report and summit to Engineering Leader.
- Checking at SITE if required by Engineering Leader or CLIENT.
