Job Description Key Skills: • In this role experience is second to character and the ability to learn a new role and develop as an individual is critical.
• Previous sales and or supervisory experience would be an asset.
• Inside support (CSR) experience would be an asset.
• 2-7 years of experience in selling Power Generation Equipment
• A degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Marketing/Business would be an asset'
• Good communication and written skills in English with an analytical mind.
• Ability to learn the technical aspects of the product.
• Self-starter with an outgoing personality.
This is a challenging and rewarding sales role which combines specified marketing functions with territorial sales responsibilities. This position requires a strong customer focus and effective account management. The position will be responsible for growing the territory market share, managing applicable factory business relationships and development/implementation of growth strategies. These responsibilities support companys commitment to represent company in a defined territory. There is emphasis placed on meeting customer demands (internal, external and Dealer customers/partners)In addition to the above, this position has the following expectations: Strong cross-business unit working relationships and strict adherence to CME department policies Responsibility to meet the Sales AOP with target gross margin levels Generate new sales opportunities and expand customer base Assist the Sales Managers to implement sales and marketing strategies for the development Increase Quotation Hit Rate Evaluating customer specification requirements in order to prepare plant quotations. Work closely with the Sales Manager, taking the lead in customer order processing Assure the sales tools are fully used and updatedRepresent CME with professionalism & Integrity providing one face to the customer.Ensure the company policy and procedures are adhered to.Meet and exceed the AOP targets for sales and marginExpand Customer baseCreate, implement & monitor an annual territory operating plan with which to work by.Assist the Sales Manager with forward business development planProvide product knowledge & support to CME customers and delivery partners (e g: plan & perform dealer or end user meetings and presentations.)Deliver sales information & product presentations to CME delivery partners and end use customers.Cultivate & expand CMEs customer base (eg: organize + plan participation in trade shows, dealer open houses & Industry associations and conventions)Conduct site surveys where the complexity of the enquiry demands a visit.Respond to general sales requests offering advice, guidance and reference materials where necessary.Evaluate and qualify customer requirements and prepare quotationsMaintain close contact with the appropriate Customer Support representative.Manage customer, internal department and dealer relationships on an on-going basis with goal of creating A Customer for lifeUse appropriate sales tools effectively, negotiate and close dealsLog and maintain inquiries within the quote log and regular update of forecastsRespond to customer needs/concerns/queries in a variety of markets.Develop and maintain customer profiles and action plans, and coordinate involvement from appropriate departments within CME to develop action plans for key accountsMaintain and secure all department assets, including vehicles and equipmentReview and maintain (through business case development) optimum stock levels of championed productsAssist Financial team in overdue collections leveraging customer relationshipsProvide forecasts and market reports for territory and championed productsMaintain specified market / customer/channel partner leadership for overall CME enterpriseUpdate and organize customer/dealer contact/information databasesMaintain market specific reports and territorial sales forecastsAssist financial team in overdue collection, leveraging customer relationshipsContribute to business case development to ensure adequate inventory stock levels for specified marketsUpdate and organize customer and dealer contact/information databases both at CME and ones requested by companyManage customer, internal department and dealer relationships on an on-going basis with goal of creating A Customer for lifeOther duties as defined by the Sales Manager.
