Job Description Key Skills: Deputy Chief Executive Officer , Methanol, Ammonia
Eligibility: * A Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering is required. * The applicant should have a minimum of 15 years experience in a large size process plant environment with five preferably in a large chemical or petrochemical environment. * The candidate must have very strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent technical problem solving ability. * Knowledge of the Methanol business is preferable, but not essential. * Fluency in English is essential, and Arabic and/or German language ability would be an advantage.Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY * Work with the CEO to execute the strategic business goals of the Company in keeping the vision, mission and strategic plan. * Provides strong and effective leadership to manage all activities in a world-class manufacturing plant. * Liaises with the relevant personnel to seamlessly execute the tenets of the contractual arrangements with various contractors at site and abroad. * Functions as the deputy to the CEO and liaises with the internal and external clients and the Corporate offices to ensure smooth functioning of technical as well as managerial matters in the absence of CEO at site. * Assists the CEO in planning and controlling all aspects of the plant in accordance with company procedures and government guidelines in order to achieve safety , production and budgetary targets.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Health , Safety and Environment: * Demonstrates complete knowledge of HSES laws , policies and procedures. * Oversees the functions of the site Incident Commander. * Executes designated HSE & Q responsibilities to ensure safe and cost effective plant operations * Orders and participates in special investigations. * Ensures compliance with HSE regulations through the HSE Team. * Participates in and ensures that safety walks and meetings are conducted. * Leads the Quality Management programme of the Company.Human Resource Management * Ensures the availability and complement of required manpower for the safe and efficient operations of the plants. * Executes Companys policy and procedures as defined in the HR Policies and Procedures Manual. * Conducts regular performance reviews with direct reports and provides feedback and guidance to enable their development and improve performance. * Collaborates with the Executive Leadership to promote a harmonious work environment among all departments and personnel. * Manages the contributions of the all Departments to the achievement of the Company's business goals and objectives. * Responsible for overall management of vacation of all his subordinates at the site. * Responsible for all acting appointments of his subordinates at the site.Functional & General Accountability * Ensures that the demands of the organization are consistently met , within the established contractual standards of quality , cost , delivery date while providing a clean and safe working environment for all. * Manages and oversees and assists the CEO in overall operations at site. * Facilitates recommendations to improve productivity , quality and efficiency of operations. * Analyzes and approves recommendations for changes in procedures , or plant and equipment modifications to improve efficiency and reliability , reduce safety hazards and lower production costs. * Represents the Company on Technical items that involve third parties such as consultants and clients.Communication: * Responsible for establishing and maintaining communication within and outside the organization as required with respect to plant conditions such as rate changes , plant trips or any other related incidents as delegated by the CEO. * All personnel related incidents which may expose the Company should be immediately communicated to the CEO.General Accountabilities: * Responsible for maintaining a consistent line of internal and external communication as necessary in matters relative to the plant and employee efficiencies to meet or exceed organizational goals and objectives. * Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
