Brief:

The ideal candidate should be a graduate in Chemical Engineering with at least 12 to 18 years of experience in a large or medium sized fertilizers/chemical companies.
This position, reporting to the General Manager (Manufacturing), is accountable for the overall operational performance of the plants for production of Sulphuric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, G-Sulfur, Bagging & PH and Utilities, according to the business plans of the Company at the stipulated costs.
Providing technical and implementational assistance for systems upgradation, improvements and for projects related thereto, as well as addressing technological issues are also within the scope of this position.

The incumbent is responsible for:

The incumbent is responsible for the plant output through operation of the plants producing Acids, G-sulphur, bagging & PH and Utilities.
The incumbents role relates to management and deployment of all resources required for production and also evolving methodologies and systems to achieve higher productivity.
The main thrust of the position is on identifying constraints and devising the means to overcome them.
The main challenges faced relate to the optimum utilization of resources for obtaining the designated results and maintaining high productivity norms in all areas of activity.
The incumbent has the freedom to carry out the operations of the plants under his control to meet the business requirements within the specified costs and also in the area of utilization of his people.
The incumbent has need-based contacts with the various departments within the Company and he is also a member of several in-house committees dealing with systems, safety etc.
