Key Skills: Service Manager , Service ManagerOff - shore

4+ years development experience (2+ years with UK/ US companies)

5+ years development experience

5+ years developing high-performance enterprise level web applications

3+ year line management experience

Experience in source control systems and branching (ideally TFS)

2+ years experience managing off-shore resource (preferably India)

4+ years MS SQL Server 2K/2K5/2K8 development experience (at least one)

3+ year experience working with SSRS

1+ year QA

Working knowledge of open and closed source, third party frameworks

Very strong analysis skills

Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with peers/ business users and Senior Management

Rapid code conversion to delivered solution

Aptitude for innovation and thinking outside the box

Job Description

Line management of 3 key application streams online team , back office team and front office team

Direct line management accountability over a team of 6 developers (3 offshore)

Development of Company web site

Ownership of all project development deliverables

Quality gate for development passing through project dev team

3rd party/ business user support

Production of all necessary documentation

Support throughout test and implementation

Liaison with IT Senior Management and other projects (both IT and Business)

Representing IT to other areas of the business/ external third parties

Handover of completed projects to relevant operational teams

R&D/ innovation around future technologies & business improvements

Work allocation/ validation and monitoring amongst development team

Escalation point for issue resolution
