Key Tasks:
To ensure that suitable Line hauls are utilized from the origin to maximize unit cost efficiencies and improved transit times.To ensure bookings are made for space on the various surface carrier modes to enable all material to be uplifted as required.To comply with all paper work and regulatory requirements, pertaining to fulfilling all local sales tax requirements.To ensure that local sales tax requirements are met.To ensure that all the relevant data is captured and entered into the required system and communicated to other relevant departments.To ensure timely and accurate communication of information.
Inbound Domestic:
To ensure that inbound loads are processed, cleared and forwarded as per standard requirements.To ensure Detentions are minimized.To ensure Detained shipments are cleared same day on receipt of complete paperwork from customer serviceTo ensure all Details of detained shipments are updated and forwarded to customer service on the same dayTo maintain Detain shipments record and update customer service if no. of days is exceeding 30 days.To ensure all loads are processed and forwarded to Branches with in the set cut-offs.To ensure that shipments attracting duties / Taxes & octroi payments are processed as per the regulations.To ensure that a weight record of shipments/ bags of all incoming shipments are maintained
Quality Check:
To ensure all Domestic Shipments are bagged and Forwarded as per the set standards.
Key Tasks:
To ensure that the process of bagging, sorting, consolidating, data capturing &transmission within time scales. Also to ensure security & care taken with material within his responsibility to minimize delay through effective communication both locally and network.
Cost Management & New Line hauls:
Key Tasks:
To ensure costs are regularly reviewed against agreed budget targets.
